CastleVille Quests

I have not had much time to play CastleVille this weekend, but I am catching up with some Castle Ville Quests right now! I just completed one given by the Duke, called Salad Diet! It basically involved making 3 hard boiled eggs, gathering 10 Cabbage and finally having 10 Carrots just for color.

I would say that the longest it took were the Hard Boiled Eggs as they are prepared in the CastleVille Kitchen and I only have one. The eggs also require an hour and a half to be ready. The ingredients are not so easy to get too – you need 10 eggs per portion and 5 pails of water.

To see how to complete Salad Diet by the Duke and other tasks, you can visit this great website on CastleVille Quests.

You can also watch the youtube video showing the completion of this Castle Ville Quest:

I will update you as I complete more and more quests!

As you progress with the Castle Ville Game, you will eventually need to build a Mill. Some of the Quests in the game are closely related to cooking something and most of the recipes in CastleVille require Flour Bags. These are only produced in the CastleVille Mill. To see how to build a Mill in CastleVille, you can check the detailed blog post on the subject or watch the video below:

I decided to make this quick article for those of you who really enjoy the CastleVille game and like to complete the Quests and want to progress as fast as possible. As you already know some actions in the game yield more experience and more coins compared to others. Also we know that each and every action (except from Planting Crops and starting crafting an item) costs you energy points and they are limited. So when you play CastleVille you always want to utilize your Energy Points as much as possible.

I found a great tutorial on Farming Crops in your CastleVille Kingdom. You will learn what is the best crop to farm in CastleVille and why.

The first time when you need Mystery Meat in CastleVille is when you undertake the quest Home Improvements by the Duke. The Castle Ville Game tells you that you can get this item by fishing in your pond or asking your friends for it. There is, as always, a third way and it is to purchase it, using some of your available crowns. I have so far tried to find it fishing in the pond, but in vain.

So instead I decided to craft a Fishing Bait in my CastleVille Workshop. Using the Fishing Bait I might be able to get the items that I need. Still I did not want to leave the Mystery Meat to luck and I sent requests to my CastleVille Friends. I will now try to find some Mystery Meat fishing and I will let you know if it worked.

You have probably noticed that there is a Level in CastleVille. Each and every time you complete a Quest in CastleVille or you do a certain task like feeding, fighting, taxing, fishing etc. you get experience points. Those experience points determine your level in the game. I just reached Level 13!

CastleVille Level Up

CastleVille Level Up

I will now be able to increase my Castle Level by constructing/purchasing things I could not before and explore further into the Gloom!

I tried to outsmart the game today, it did not work. I hate to admit it.. I tried to explore a Gloom Area in CastleVille that required just an increased CastleLevel by simply purchasing useless items that provide you with Castle Level.

I noticed that the Archery Target in CastleVille gives you 2 points per item purchased to your Castle Level. So as you can see I purchased as much as I was allowed to, before I hit the limit for my level of CastleVille. The nasty part is  that I reached a CastleLevel of 499, where I needed 500 to be able to explore into the Gloomed area. I guess the guys from Zynga had this calculated! Well.. what can I do, I just keep playing and I will level up soon in CastleVille, and explore then.

I just completed one of the CastleVille Quests given by the Duke. It was actually quite weird, but he seem to be that kind of a guy. Here is what I needed to do to complete this one:

Decoration Distraction CastleVille Quest

Basically this CastleVille Quest involved shopping and taxing. Taxing 10 buildings is an easy task to complete as everyone does that whenever  they have more energy and are in need of coins. You also had to purchase one Keep Off Sign, which was supposed to keep the Gloom Beasties away – a stupid idea if you ask me 🙂 . The last piece of this CastleVille Quest was the purchase of 3 Flower Pots, that were supposed to serve as distraction.

The Keep Off Sign costs you 10 Reputation Points and the Flower Pots are 200 Gold Coins a piece, so you need to pay a total of 600 Coins and 10 reputation points to complete this quest.

It is worth it, as when you complete the Duke’s quest, you get 1000 Gold Coins and 20 Experience Points.

Of course the Duke’s plan is an utter failure as these signs are worthless to keep the Gloom Beasties away, well, at least I have some flowers now 🙂

And by the way, you can check the youtube video that shows how I completed the quest:

I just completed the first quest by the Wizard Alastair who I rescued in my previous CastleVille Quest. It was a very simple one – all I was supposed to do is banish two Gloom Wolves to prove a worthy ruler of my Castle Ville Kingdom! It was not long before the two Beasties popped up and blocked in Gloom part of my Kingdom. I Banished them earning the respect of Alstair.

I see that a lot of people are having hard time completing the Quest by Rafael – Work The Kinks as you need to find a rolling pin before you finish the quest. The easiers way to get a rolling pin in CastleVille is to send requests to your friends who play the Zynga game on facebook too and they will send you one. Another way to get a rolling pin is by fishing in the pond everyone has in their CastleVille Kingdom. I personally did not find the rolling pin this way eventhough I spent a lot of time fishing..

As in most quests you can also complete this one by simply purchasing the rolling pin with crowns, but it is not the best solution as the crowns are premium currency in Castle Ville and you should keep them for more complex quests. The Rolling Pin is an item that you canno sell from your inventory if you have more than one.

I was just served a promotional page offering to Celebrate CastleVille’s Launch. You have probably seen it too:

CastleVille Limited Edition Harvest Items

Limited Edition Harvest Items

Limited edition Harvest Items are being put on sale. I personally will not take advantage of this offer – I don’t want to spend any cash here, so I will keep on playing for free and fun. Still I decided some of you might be interested. Here are some of the items that you can obtain:
